I am Hylke Knot, photographer / videographer and in recent years more and more in the mountains. I have always had a preference for outdoor sports, but I have only recently fallen in love with the mountains for a few years. Before that I could always be found on the water with my great passion for windsurfing, which I have been doing since I was 11 years old.

I am often asked what exactly I earn my living with because I have done so many different things in the photography and film world. For example, I turned from weddings, news articles, corporate to high-end music videos from, for example, Armin van Buuren, Lost Frequencies and James Blunt, but I also made a number of short feature films. Because in the last two years I wanted to do more that is close to me, namely the recording of sports, I have started recording many expeditions in the mountains. This year I visited Elbrus twice, which is one of the 7 Summits.

To make it a nice documentary I will follow Jur in the coming period until my body is able to follow him! Which will hopefully also be all tops. In the short time that I now know Jur, especially how we really got to know each other on the Khan Tengri, that will be a very cool time and I know that we can support each other well on the mountain. From the experience I have already had with Jur op de bergen, I know that we can create a very beautiful documentary.
